Feed, BPAS and NAT meet the Trussell Trust
Together with BPAS, NAT and other co-signatories, we wrote to the Trussell Trust to ask them to rethink their policy not to accept donations of, or distribute, infant formula.
The Trussell Trust were very concerned about the points we raised and invited us to meet with them in their offices in London. So, we were back on the Caledonian Sleeper heading South!
Alongside BPAS and NAT, we had a really productive discussion with Trussell; it was clear that they were committed to ensuring parents living in food poverty should be supported to access formula for their formula fed babies at food banks.
Following the meeting, we embarked on a policy development project with Trussell with the aim of ensuring formula could safely be provided at Trussell Trust foodbanks throughout the country.
