ABOUT FEED

The charity that puts women and families at the heart of infant feeding, bottles, boobs or tubes.

  • We are the only infant feeding organisation in the UK that champions all infant feeding methods with our groundbreaking Flexible Feeding approach.

  • Our Formula for Change campaign resulted in reductions in infant formula prices across the UK and has massively increased the visibility, in both the public and political spheres, of the issues families are facing.

  • We developed the UK’s first guidance for safe and dignified provision of infant formula directly to families who need it, which is now included in Scottish Government guidance.

  • We supported just under 100 UK food and baby banks with £350 microgrants in our Winter Formula Fund, providing over 3,220 tubs of formula and around 130,000 formula feeds!

  • We set up The Feed Lab at the University of Edinburgh, dedicated to research that improves maternal and infant health, wellbeing and nutrition.

  • We are the only infant feeding organisation who are guided by a public and patient involvement group; our Feed Advocates ensure we continue to put women and families at the heart of infant feeding.

Our Impact

Feed is an entirely volunteer run organisation.

  • Feed was formed organically with the sole aim to centre the needs of women and infants. We do not work for, on behalf of, under the guidance of or in affiliation with any other organisation, and have never done so.

  • Formed in 2018, we became a registered charity in May 2020. We are Registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Register: No SC050164

  • Feed is entirely volunteer run. We are funded by individual donations and grants. We have never, and will never, accept any funding from any company that profits from infant feeding including formula manufacturers, breast pump manufacturers and others.
